After 13 years in London, one in New York and last year in Melbourne, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants will be hosting the gala where the world’s 50 best restaurants are to be chosen. A ranking considered the most prestigious in the sector.
The Basque Country looms large in the current list, published every year by British ‘Restaurant’ magazine. The top 25 include Mugaritz (7), Asador Etxebarri (10), Azurmendi (16) and Arzak (21).
The streets of the Basque Country will play host to nearly 800 chefs, journalists, critics and food experts who come together every year for the presentation of the list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. The jury, made up of people from all over the world, votes for the restaurant, not the chef.
